Our staff counsel team is currently seeking a Legal Secretary to join its Michigan office. The position can be fully remote or hybrid. It is a full time/ non-exempt role. Assists attorneys and other legal personnel with administrative and clerical work. In This Role You Will:
Prepares final legal papers and correspondence of legal nature such as summonses, answer packages, motions and subpoenas from draft. Manages calendar and assists in meeting deadlines. Coordinates meetings. Performs other clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, providing information to callers, speaking with clients / attorneys, composing and typing routine correspondence. Files correspondence and legal documents in office filing system. Ensures proper indexing and filing of original legal documents. What You Need To Apply:
High School Graduate. Minimum of 2-4 years related office experience. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software. Works well with others and establishes sound working relationships. Keyboard and typing skills. Desired Skills And Experience:
Strong organizational skills. Flexibility and ability to work within a team environment. Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Ability to use a personal computer and other standard office equipment. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
