Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and Implementing Safety Programs:
Design and implement comprehensive safety programs tailored to the organization's specific needs and industry regulations. Develop and update safety policies, procedures, and protocols for all machinery and equipment. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
Incident Investigation and Analysis:
Investigate workplace accidents and near-miss incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Analyze safety data and trends to identify areas for improvement and prevention.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate safety information effectively to all stakeholders, including employees, management, human resources, and regulatory agencies. Collaborate with other departments to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in safety management, environmental health and safety, or a related field is generally required. Experience:
Relevant experience in safety management, risk assessment, and incident investigation is essential. Certifications:
Professional certifications, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), are highly valued. Knowledge:
Strong understanding of safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices. Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in EHS, Occupational Health Management or similar, required. Possess OSHA 500/510 Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry. At least 3 years of Safety experience required. Prior construction experience. Proficient writing and communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with management and field employees. Ability to obtain certification in all areas related to safety and construction. Able to drive to all job sites as needed. Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
