As a Sonographer at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by: Ensuring proper patient identification, verifies orders, and prepares patients for exams. Using proper imaging techniques to ensure timely, safe, and high quality diagnostic exams. Demonstrating the ability to perform any exam on all ages of patients (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics) using appropriate protocol and following ACR guidelines. Demonstrating proficiency on all clinical equipment within the department. Completing and annotating a medically acceptable exam, following ACR guidelines while producing the maximum diagnostic information in a minimal amount of time. Following appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding and charging, obtaining consents if necessary, documenting any events that may occur, for quality, maintaining a current QC program for ACR and reporting any equipment failures or problems. Exhibiting good safety practices in body substance protection, cleaning of equipment, using proper sterile techniques, and removing any expired materials. Thoroughly and accurately completing all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage. Minimum Qualifications Radiology Technologist: High School diploma or equivalent Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications Radiology Technologist: At least one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience Minimum Qualifications Radiology Technologist II: Demonstrated experience in a variety of diagnostic areas, including acute care experience Currently working in an acute care setting performing a variety of diagnostic exams, including fluoroscopy (fixed and/or c-arm) and mobile imaging. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)(R) certification Current Radiologic Technologist license in state of practice Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers IV certificationmay not be required at all sites. Preferred Qualifications Radiology Technologist II: Previous leadership experience 3-5 years demonstrated experience as a Radiology Technologist Physical Requirements: Carrying, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pulling/Pushing, Seeing, Sitting, Speaking, Standing.
