Job Title: Associate Manager, Material Management Job Code: 26449 Job Location: Palm Bay, FL Job Schedule: 9/80; Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off Job Description: The Manager - Material Management is an established people leader with the ability to work independently through self-initiated and delegated assignments, is a coach and mentor, and can effectively manage department resources to meet the needs of all internal and external customers and auditors while acting as a subject matter expert and functional representative when needed. Essential Functions:
Responsible for the effective and efficient acquisition process for all program materials within up to three business areas. Responsible for the direct supervision and leadership of assigned team. Develops and implements supply chain execution strategies to optimize cost and schedule performance in alignment with program/business objectives. Assesses supplier risk and develops/implements mitigation strategies. Collaborates with cross-functional peers to close process gaps and improve productivity. Participates in strategic initiatives to grow the business and serves as the Materials Management subject matter expert in such engagements. Evaluates and approves supply chain labor and material proposals prior to customer review. Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures. Selects methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for achieving goals and objectives. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to policies, practices, or approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Establishes short-term operational plans with measurable contributions to function or business area results. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software and advanced concepts Understanding of FAR, MMAS, SOX, and CAS requirements APICS and/or ISM certification Thorough knowledge of supply chain processes Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint
