Base pay range
$55.00/hr - $63.00/hr Envisagenics is seeking a highly motivated, result-oriented, and resourceful Scientist with an advanced degree (PhD or MS degree along with 3-5 years of experience) in Neurobiology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, or related disciplines for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will exhibit enthusiasm for scientific inquiry and experimentation, attention to experimental design and execution, and efficiency in completing experimental workflows aligned with established priorities and timelines. Additionally, the candidate will perform insightful analysis, organize data effectively, and present scientific findings clearly to support key decisions in target identification and validation for research programs. Qualifications include: PhD in Neuroscience, Molecular and Cellular Biology, or related fields, or MS with 3-5 years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech experience. Hands-on expertise in
in vitro
systems, preferably with iPSCs and primary cell cultures. Experience with
in vivo
studies, including tissue handling and processing (preferred). Knowledge of molecular biology techniques such as cloning, PCR, qPCR, and standard protein biochemistry experiments like Western Blot, ELISA, protein purification, and coIP. Experience in analytical assay development (strongly preferred). Effective organization, analysis, documentation, communication, and presentation of data and scientific concepts. Ability to work within a matrix structure and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Willingness to learn and troubleshoot new techniques and aspects of preclinical programs. Biological knowledge of molecular and cellular mechanisms of neurodegeneration (strongly preferred). Seniority level
