Summary

The Business Development Manager will work hand in hand with the Associate Director of Business Development to deliver continuous growth of the companys pipeline of products and sales opportunities. The person in this role will interface externally and with cross-functional teams internally to deliver continuous growth of the companys pipeline of products and sales opportunities. This role requires an independent, organized, and forward-thinking individual who excels at interacting with both internal and external stakeholders and thrives in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to motivate others, and provide the leadership necessary to accomplish team goals.

General Duties And Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned manufacturer accounts and build business relationships with those partners Find and execute on product portfolio addition opportunities. Negotiate acquisition costs for new products. Sell the GSMS business model and services to generic drug manufacturers for partnership Coordinate with internal stakeholders to bring new products to market with speed and efficiency Coordinate with Marketing and Sales Operations to take action and align our portfolio and price strategies with manufacturers Collaborate with Supply Chain for monthly supplier calls. Maintain awareness of key changes to supplier forecasts. Create and propose bid and pricing strategy for new launches to BD and Corporate Development leadership Provide leadership to analysts supporting product opportunity reviews and supplier proposals Build and promote the GSMS brand by participating in select industry events Conduct regular reporting of new product opportunities, results and capture rates

Required Qualifications

At minimum, a bachelors degree and 6 years of experience in a related job function, preferably in the generic pharmaceutical industry Exceptional interpersonal skills Proven ability to negotiate and utilize a strong business acumen in dealings Extensive experience with Excel and other analytical toolsets (e.g., Microsoft BI, Access, etc.) Experience analyzing and validating data sets Ability to remain focused while working on multiple tasks and projects Exceptional oral and written communication skills Must be comfortable representing the company including via formal presentations/pitches Willing to take initiative and work with limited direction
