• Job Title: Physician - Psychiatry
• Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Employed)
• Location: Lake County, IN
• Service Setting: Outpatient with weekend/holiday inpatient rounding
• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call
• Coverage Period: Ongoing
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday
• On-Call Shift Schedule: Weekend/Holiday Rounding 1:8 or better
• Call Type: Rotational
• Call Ratio: 1:8 or better
PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Psychiatry patients • Admissions: Yes (inpatient rounding on weekends/holidays) • Rounding: Yes • Phone Consults: Yes • Case Mix: General Psychiatry
FACILITY INFORMATION • EMR System: EPIC - fully integrated HIMSS Stage VII • Office Equipment Available: Standard psychiatric care tools • Specialty Backup Available: Collegial physician group within growing system • Support Staff Available: Support department for EMR and clinical operations • Reason for Coverage: Growth and system expansion of psychiatry services
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: 90-120 days post-offer
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: Highly competitive salary (Negotiable) • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Indiana has favorable malpractice laws • Additional Benefits: • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance • 401K and 457(b) retirement plans with employer match • CME and Licensure funds: $6,000 annually • Licensure reimbursement (license, CSR, DEA, dues, subscriptions) • Flexible time off: 5 weeks PTO + 1 week CME • Contract bonuses based on visit productivity • Sign-on bonus (negotiable) • HRSA Workforce Student Loan Repayment eligible • Quality bonus

JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active IN license (or ability to obtain) • Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry • Experience: Open to all experience levels • Other Qualifications: EPIC EMR proficiency; supportive, team-based work culture
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric services • Participate in 1:8 or better weekend/holiday inpatient rounding • Utilize EPIC EMR system for all documentation • Collaborate with a collegial and expanding physician group • Support the continued development of psychiatry services in a growth-oriented health system
