Flexo Press Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flexo Press Operator to join our team. As a Flexo Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. You will ensure that the equipment is functioning properly, monitor the printing process, and make adjustments as necessary to maintain print quality and productivity.Schedule: 3:00 - 11:30pm M-F with overtime as neededQualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent- Previous experience as a Flexographic Press Operator or in a similar role- Strong knowledge of flexographic printing techniques and equipment- Proficient in reading and interpreting job orders, blueprints, and work instructions- Familiarity with different types of inks, substrates, and adhesives used in flexographic printing- Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and perform regular maintenance on flexographic printing equipment- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain print quality throughout production runs- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make adjustments to optimize print performance- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment- Good communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.Responsibilities:- Set up and prepare flexographic printing presses for production runs- Load and position printing plates and cylinders onto the press, ensuring proper alignment- Mix inks according to specifications and fill ink fountains or reservoirs- Adjust press settings, such as speed, tension, and registration, to ensure proper print quality- Monitor press operation and make adjustments as necessary to maintain print quality and productivity- Identify and troubleshoot printing issues, such as color mismatches, streaking, or registration errors- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the press and related equipment- Monitor and control ink and substrate waste to minimize production costs- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area- Collaborate with other team members, such as prepress operators and quality control technicians, to ensure efficient and accurate production- Document production and quality data accurately and complete necessary paperwork.We are looking for a dedicated and skilled individual who can contribute to our team's success by consistently delivering high-quality print products.
