Job Summary

The Facility Custodian at Little Stars Therapy Services will be a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our clients, families, and team members. This position is responsible for routine cleaning of hallways, kitchens, classrooms, administrative offices, bathrooms, and other common areas to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness across our facility.

Essential Duties Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, administrative offices, kitchens, gym, cafeteria and staff lounge along with other areas of the facility as needed on a daily basis. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in designated areas, ensuring surfaces are free from dirt and debris. Disinfect high-touch areas and surfaces regularly, including door handles, light switches, and tables. Clean and disinfect kitchen surfaces, countertops, sinks, and tables. Maintain cleanliness of refrigerators, air fryers and microwaves, disposing of any expired or unclaimed food items. Ensure supplies, such as paper towels, soap, and other consumables, are stocked and readily available in kitchen areas and all rooms as needed. Collect and dispose of trash from classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and other areas, replacing trash liners as needed. Maintain outdoor and indoor trash areas in a clean and organized manner. Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and other surfaces. Refill restroom supplies, such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels, regularly. Dust furniture, shelves, and fixtures in classrooms and offices. Arrange and straighten furniture and supplies in common areas to maintain a tidy appearance. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, notifying the supervisor when stock needs replenishing. Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to the supervisor to ensure timely repairs and hazard prevention. Knowledge & Skills

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy environment. Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe usage practices. Ability to collaborate with various teams and co-workers. Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED required. At least 1 year of experience in a maintenance or facilities role; experience in a healthcare, educational, or commercial setting preferred.
