Position Overview
We are seeking a
dedicated and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
with a passion for
addiction medicine and mental health . The FNP will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, providing
comprehensive medical care, medication management, and patient education
for individuals in residential, outpatient, and detox programs.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct
medical evaluations
for patients entering treatment, including physical exams and history-taking. Provide
medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
and
psychiatric medication management
as needed. Monitor and manage
withdrawal symptoms , ensuring patient safety and comfort. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers to develop
integrated treatment plans . Educate patients and families on
substance use disorders, harm reduction, and relapse prevention . Ensure compliance with
state and federal regulations , including
HIPAA and DEA
guidelines. Document all patient interactions in the
Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
accurately and timely. Qualifications
Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
in the state of Texas (Required) DEA X-waiver
(or willingness to obtain) for prescribing buprenorphine for opioid use disorder Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or primary care
(Preferred) Strong understanding of
MAT, co-occurring disorders, and trauma-informed care Ability to work
collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting Compassionate, non-judgmental, and committed to patient-centered care Benefits
