MIG Aluminum Welder/Fitter
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a
MIG Welder/Fitter (Aluminum)
for one of our clients located in the
North Houston, TX
area leveraging advanced welding and fabrication skills to contribute to the construction of high-quality mechanical systems and energy infrastructure. Committed to safety, precision, and teamwork in supporting our company's mission of delivering innovative and reliable customer service.
Pay Rate $26.00-$28.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday - Friday (sometimes Weekends)
06:00am - 2:30pm OT as needed
MIG Welder/Fitter Duties and Responsibilities: Mechanical and Structural Expertise Interpret mechanical blueprints to identify required component specifications Build structural elements using raw materials and appropriate techniques Operate welding tools to securely join structural pieces Cut components accurately using shears, saws, torches, and chipper knives Replace structural parts that are damaged or defective Quality Control and Safety Smooth out imperfections with grinders, scrapers, and hand files Comply with all safety regulations and site procedures Team Collaboration Work closely with fellow Fitters on complex, large-scale construction projects MIG Welder/Fitter Qualifications and Requirements:
Education & Experience Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent Demonstrated hands-on experience in the fitter profession Technical Competencies Skilled in operating various hand and power tools Proficient in MIG welding with Aluminum, Carbon Steel, and Stainless Steel Capable of interpreting and applying mechanical blueprints Cognitive & Analytical Skills Ability to maintain focus and attention over extended periods Strong skills in analyzing issues and solving problems effectively Organizational & Communication Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication Proven time management and organizational efficiency Additional Skills Advanced mechanical and welding expertise Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish or native-level Spanish proficiency (highly preferred) Job Type Temp to Permanent
