ALPLA values their employees, work-life balance, personal growth, compensation and sustainability.What Can You Expect From ALPLAHealth and Wellness Care Program- Benefits Child Care BenefitsDependent Care Cost Savings ProgramRecognition programs; Promotional opportunities401K Retirement Plan and excellent Matching PlanMedical, dental, vision planEducation assistance program/tuition reimbursementShort term, long term and life insurance paid by ALPLAPaid vacation; paid holidaysWhat You Will Enjoy DoingMain Purpose of the Job:Assist local Toolmaker (Responsible, if no Toolmaker) for mold shop operations; including mold cleaning, inspection, maintenance, repairs, and inventory control of all mold related spare parts.Main Responsibilities: Mold Maintenance Cleaning Inspecting Preventative Maintenance Documentation Machining Assists local Toolmaker in modifying and repairing parts as needed Sandblasting molds and Blow Pin Tips Sharpening cutting rings and stitch knives Reports damaged equipment to Toolmaker/Production ManagerAssists local Toolmaker (Responsible, if no Toolmaker): Inventory Control Maintain accurate/current records of all mold related drawings Maintain accurate quantities of all mold related spare parts Orders spare and/or replacement parts as needed Work closely with Production Planners to align toolroom activities and mold readiness with overall production goals through mold maintenance activities Liaison between plant and external mold vendors Supplies needed documentation Acts as main contact for technical department Maintains communication between the NOAM Mold Specialists on all mold related mattersRequirementsWhat Makes You GreatPerformance Measurements: Able to meet timelines, to minimize production downtime Accuracy and precision SafetyQualityEducation/Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent1-2 years of manufacturing or related experiencePrevious experience in mold maintenance/preparation is preferredQualifications/Skills:Mechanical abilityGood computer skillsMust be able to lift up to 50lbsAble to operate Forklifts
