Substitute District Security Guard

Substitute District Security Guard Work Schedule: 190 days

(to coincide with student school year)

Salary Range: $18.00/hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

Patrol and monitor district campuses to maintain order and security. Report any unusual conditions or malfunctioning of heating, plumbing or electrical systems. Enforce district rules, regulations and policies for the safety and security of students, staff and property according to established procedures. Maintain security of school buildings, grounds and facilities. Provide crowd and/or traffic control during scheduled activities and/or emergency situations. Direct bus and car traffic. Assist with crossing students. Assist bus coordinators during loading times. Monitor parking areas when a large crowd attends sporting or evening events. Observe, and if necessary, intervene to ensure appropriate student behavior with school rules; intervene in situations of verbal and physical conflict; write referrals and incident reports according to established guidelines. Report unusual activities or unauthorized persons; orient and direct campus visitors. Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the Principals and/or District School Safety Officer. Qualifications:

Experience working with students Ability to work independently Strong communication skills Valid PA Driver's License Must have own vehicle High School Diploma / GED Must meet all physical requirements
