Good Shepherd partners with Scrubs Academy to offer a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program designed to set you up for success. If selected, the program includes 80 hours of training at no cost to you, and all course fees are fully covered. Classroom time and independent study is compensated at a rate of $15.75 per hour. To qualify, applicants must be at least 16 years old, able to complete the independent study onsite at Good Shepherd within the given timeframe, and available to attend all scheduled classes without exception. Upon completion of the course and successful state certification-also paid for by Good Shepherd-you will begin working as a Certified Nursing Assistant on the Evening shift in our Skilled Nursing Facility, earning $20.60 per hour (plus additional $1.00/HR Evening Shift Differential). Nursing Assistant Trainee Qualifications Must remain enrolled in a nurse aide training program; attendance is required for all class dates and independent study must be completed onsite at Good Shepherd in the timeframe allotted Passing the written and skills competency evaluation for placement on the registry must be completed within four months from date of hire Must be at least 16 years of age Must be able to read, write, and follow directions in English
