Position Summary:
Provides accurate assistance in packaging orders, performing clerical duties, and maintaining inventory.
Essential Functions of the Job
: Assists and serves patients, including packaging and deliveries and obtaining pertinent information from patients. Inputs relevant patient data into the pharmacy computer system. Stocks shelves and bins with merchandise, vials, bottles, and supplies. Assists in the preparation of reports and written documentation, as required by the department, company, state and federal agencies. Assists Pharmacists as directed. Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, compliance required courses, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops. Attends meetings as required and participates in committees as requested. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Job Requirements
Education Required:
HS or GED equivalent. Experience Required:
6 months to 1 year of experience in a retail pharmacy setting. Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job:
Excellent oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job:
Knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology. Equipment Used:
Computer and pharmacy software. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, constant walking and occasional lifting of supplies and equipment. Superb organizational ability and exceptionally analytical. May be required to work evening and/or weekends.
