Silverado Veterinary Hospital

is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This is an excellent position for candidates with good foundational skills who are looking to grow their career in veterinary medicine.

In this role, you will assist our Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians, including gentle animal handling and restraint during procedures and physical exams. You will administer medications, perform blood draws, take radiographs, process laboratory samples and assist with patient care as needed. You will prepare and clean patient areas throughout the day including exam rooms and procedural/treatment areas, anticipating team needs and ensuring preparedness and efficiency. This is an ideal position for efficient multi-taskers who enjoy a supportive role in a team-oriented environment!

This is a full-time position, with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday.

1+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting Proficiency in the following skills:

Venipuncture and administering SQ injections Surgical set up and assisting Radiography and in house laboratory processing
