Timberline Veterinary Emergency and Specialty is a locally owned, rapidly growing, 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in North Seattle. Our mission is:

We believe skilled and compassionate veterinary assistants are critical to our success. We are looking for additional veterinary assistants to help us provide the best veterinary emergency care in the Seattle area and continue building an amazing workplace.
The Timberline veterinary assistants work with the veterinarians, licensed technicians, and other team members to provide exceptional patient care. Veterinary assistants work with the team to triage incoming patients, perform treatments as directed, help restrain patients, set up for surgical/patient procedures, walk animals and clean cages as needed, assist with phone calls, and work to keep the hospital and grounds safe, clean, and stocked.
Ideal candidates have previous veterinary or animal handling experience, enjoy learning, enjoy being busy at work, and are team players. We do have an educational reimbursement program and actively work to support assistants who would like to become technicians.
Specific experience and qualification requirements include:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Positive attitude Growth mindset Stress tolerance and attention to detail Able to pass the Washington pharmacy clerk exam within 60 days of hire Schedule, Compensation, and Benefits:
As an emergency hospital, rotation to help fairly cover holidays is expected for all staff. Hourly compensation is based on experience and skills (hourly range $23-$28/hour). We also provide competitive benefits, quarterly profit sharing, participation in our stock appreciation rights plan (for full-time employees), and participation in our future ESOP. Shift differentials apply for overnight and weekend shifts and are in addition to hourly rates.
