Position Summary

A healthcare facility in Wyoming is seeking a qualified

Pharmacist

to oversee the

dispensing, compounding, and management

of medications, ensuring patient safety and compliance with all regulatory standards. The pharmacist will be responsible for accurately preparing medications, monitoring drug interactions, maintaining records, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. This role also includes patient counseling, inventory management, and adherence to pharmacy protocols.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Medication Preparation & Dispensing Accurately

compound and dispense medications

as prescribed by healthcare providers. Follow

precise formulas and protocols

to create customized dosage forms, including

creams, ointments, gels, capsules, suspensions, and suppositories . Ensure all compounded medications meet

required potency, purity, and sterility

standards. Regulatory Compliance & Record-Keeping

Maintain accurate records including

pharmacy files, patient profiles, inventory logs, controlled substance registries, and compliance records . Implement

procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals

according to policy and legal requirements. Ensure

proper disposal

of pharmaceutical waste following safety protocols. Patient Care & Counseling

Provide specialized guidance to help patients manage

chronic conditions

such as

diabetes, asthma, and high blood pressure . Educate patients on

medication use, side effects, and potential interactions . Assist patients in selecting appropriate

medication brands, medical equipment, and healthcare supplies . Collaboration & Drug Safety

Work closely with healthcare professionals to

plan, monitor, and evaluate drug regimens . Analyze prescribing trends to

prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions . Advise physicians and healthcare providers on

drug applications and characteristics . Inventory Management

Order and maintain

pharmaceutical and medical supplies , ensuring proper storage and handling. Monitor stock levels and track expiration dates to prevent shortages or wastage. Required Qualifications

Education:

Doctor of Pharmacy ( Pharm.D. ) degree required. Licensing:

Must hold a valid

Wyoming Board of Pharmacy License . Certifications:

Certification in

Pharmaceutical Compounding

(preferred but not mandatory). Experience: At least

1 year of pharmacy experience

preferred. Experience with

non-sterile and/or sterile compounding processes

is a plus. Required Skills & Abilities

Strong

patient service skills . Excellent

knowledge of chemistry and drug interactions . Strong understanding of

medical and biological terminology . Detail-oriented with the ability to
