Job Description:
The Applications Engineer position will be based out of Zeeco’s BA office/Zeeco Global Locations. The position requires knowledge of Zeeco products, focusing on Offshore division products and technical requirements. The role involves managing individual proposals and coordinating all Zeeco disciplines to ensure comprehensive offerings with the highest potential for award and contract.
Job Duties:
Analyze and interpret customer inquiries, including specifications, to design and specify appropriate equipment for the application.
Travel to customer facilities for site support and to gather details needed for technical review and proposal generation.
Assist with technical development and risk assessment of customer inquiries.
Develop cost estimates according to established guidelines.
Set product pricing using mark-up and commission schedules established by management.
Determine drawings needed for quotations and coordinate their completion.
Write, edit, and issue formal quotations to customers.
Follow up on written or verbal correspondence with customers during the quotation phase.
Visit customer sites post-proposal issuance to discuss and negotiate proposals.
Provide status reports to management on overall proposal status and activities.
Assist with creating and modifying sales presentations and documents using Microsoft Office, Adobe, and web-based systems.
Work with management to identify skills and tools needed for continuous performance and knowledge improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned, based on skills and experience.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field)
5+ years of industry experience (e.g., sales and/or industry experience)
Experience with Combustion Products/Offshore packaged equipment is a plus
