Description Assess patients in inpatient or outpatient environments and craft personalized treatment plans Deliver physical therapy techniques aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality Work side by side with nurses, doctors, case managers, and therapy professionals to maximize patient outcomes Instruct patients and their families about therapeutic objectives, developing discharge plans, and home exercise regimens Record evaluations, treatments, and progress meticulously according to both facility protocols and regulatory standards Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to foster integrated care Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution Certifications
State licensure as a
Physical Therapy Specialist CPR certification preferred Specialized certifications such as geriatric or neurological are advantageous, but not mandatory Skills
Prior experience strongly preferred Ability to manage patients with complex medical and mobility challenges Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities Familiarity with digital charting systems and clinical documentation Benefits
