Health and Support Services, Non-Certified Staffing Contract (student calendar days)
POSITION DETAILS: Under delegation and supervision of the Licensed School Nurse (LSN) and in accordance with MDH and Community of Peace Academy approved policies/procedures, the Health Aide will distribute prescribed medication to students; communicate health related issues to parents, perform health clerk/secretary functions related to record keeping, other general health services functions, and other duties as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS: The person in this position is responsible to maintain a confidential, upbeat, supportive, and encouraging atmosphere for both students and colleagues, safe and thorough completion of all delegated duties, including, but not limited to managing daily student health office intakes, medication administration, data entry/documentation, screenings, health education and wellness support, parent/community communication support, immunization and infection control programs, and other health information maintenance, as delegated. This person will support student learning, physical/mental health, and wellness of students/staff, by assisting with school health programs and services, and evaluating health needs.
