ASCP Histology Tech - HT
MLR is partnering with a respected health system to recruit a meticulous Histology Technician. This full-time, permanent position is essential for providing accurate and timely histological services that support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities: Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining to prepare high-quality histologic slides for microscopic examination. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and adherence to safety protocols. Assist with special staining procedures, including immunohistochemistry, to facilitate detailed tissue analysis. Accurately label, document, and track specimens to maintain the integrity of patient information and test results. Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate reporting of findings. Stay updated on the latest histology techniques, safety regulations, and ASCP certification requirements. ASCP Histology Tech - HT Qualifications:
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology or a related field. Certification: ASCP certification as a Histology Technician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) is required. Experience :
Preferred 1+ year of experience in a histology lab setting. Benefits:
