Rancho Park Compounding Pharmacy is looking for a talented individual to join our dynamic team of compounding pharmacists in providing highly specialized compounded medication to our patients.

No prior compounding experience is necessary. All necessary trainings will be provided.

The ideal candidate is one who thrive for knowledge in the field of compounding, has an exceptional organization ability, and works well in a fast-paced environment where speed and accuracy are paramount.

REQUIREMENTS

Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.

California Pharmacist License in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.

Strong pharmacy math (e.g., dosage calculation, packing stat calculation, formulation of pharmaceuticals preparations, and data analyses).

Experience in the field of sterile compounding is a plus but NOT required

Strong interpersonal skills, effectively communicate with patients and clinicians.

Positive attitude and team player.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise sterile and non-sterile compounding to ensure accurate formulation and quality.

Review prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.

Perform accurate compounding procedures and dispense prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care.

Manage chemical inventory and interpret C of A to determine identity, purity, and strength.

Manage the batch inventory production schedule.

Provide consultation to patients on drug interactions, side-effects, dosage, and medication storage.

Supervise the maintenance and cleaning of sterile compounding environments, equipment, and tools.

Ensure that required maintenance and monitoring of equipment is completed.

Report out-of-specification observations, deviations, and modifications to the Quality Control/Compliance Officer.

Supervise environmental monitoring (e.g. recording temperatures, checking incubator samples).

Comply and stay up-to-date with USP

regulations. Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and accreditation standards as it relates to sterile compounding.
