About The Position About the Position: Position / Specialty: X-Ray Tech Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology; a high degree of technical competency and with the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with minimum supervision. Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology. Shift: 3x12s, 6a-6:30p Sat-Mon Is on-call REQ? (Y/N): Yes Weekend REQ: Fluoro, OR, Diagnostic and portable imaging Will clinician float within scope meet facility needs? (Y/N) yes Required/Preferred: Years of experience REQ: 1 year of experience First-timers accepted: (Y/N) Yes National Certs REQ: ARRT (R), SCRQSA (R), BLS, CPR Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Special Requirements: Fluoroscopy and OR experience Miscellaneous: Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N) N/A Local Radius: 60-miles Locals Accepted: (Y/N) Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Level III Trauma, Acute Care Hospital Total Staffed Beds: 286 Scrub Color: Teal Top and Black Bottom Charting preferred: Epic Parking Cost: None Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
