Staff Nurse (RN) - Addiction Medicine

SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Addiction Medicine Clinic.
This position is a 0.9 FTE (9 shifts/ pay period), 8-hour shifts, Day/Evening, Every Other Weekend.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:
Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
Educating patient on their disease process
Assuring continuity of care
Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
Minimum Qualifications:
1 year of experience in an ambulatory clinic setting
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Addiction Medicine
Care coordination experience
Certification in area of clinical specialty
BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.//
