Compensation Pay Range:$41.65-$59.50/Hrs
Description Demonstrates competent assessment skills across all age groups from Pediatric to Geriatric. Provides direct patient care activities in support of patient care delivery and team concept. Maintains complete and accurate documentation of the nursing process and patient progress. Consistently responds to patients and families in a professional manner to promote patient satisfaction. Follows National Patient Safety Goals, including using safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics. Individualizes patient care according to surgical procedures and type of anesthesia. Assesses patient understanding of surgical procedures and provides education.
Key Responsibilities Perform thorough and accurate patient assessments. Provide competent nursing care to surgical patients. Maintain accurate and complete documentation in patient charts. Promote a patient-centered environment in collaboration with the care team. Ensure patient safety by following established protocols and guidelines. Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care based on needs and conditions. Support the completion of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) and evaluate orders for appropriateness.
Qualifications 1 year of experience required. BLS certification required. RN License required. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
