Job Title: Travel RN - PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 2+ months with Possible extension.
Pay range - $60/hr. - $65/hr.
We are also offering travel and per diem packages that is based on eligibility.
Schedule: Shift Timing: 12:00 PM End Time: 12:30 AM
Job Summary: Client is seeking an experienced PACU Travel RN for a high-acuity recovery unit. The RN will provide specialized care to post-operative patients, monitor vitals, manage pain control, and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort during recovery.
Responsibilities:
Monitor post-surgical patients' vital signs and level of consciousness Administer medications, pain management, and IV therapy Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and support teams for safe recovery transition Handle emergency situations as needed in a fast-paced environment Provide patient and family education upon discharge Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and safety standards May be required to float to similar units based on facility need Skills & Requirements:
Licensure: Active NY RN license (No exceptions; pending license not accepted) Certifications: AHA BLS (Required) AHA ACLS (Preferred) Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience EMR System: EPIC (Experience Required) Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
