Conduct thorough evaluations of clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities utilizing both observations and standardized tools. Treatment and Education:
Develop customized treatment plans geared towards clients' goals and improving their functional abilities. Provide education to clients and families on enhancing daily activities, including adaptive equipment usage and environmental modifications. Documentation:
Keep meticulous records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. Advocacy and Support:
Advocate for clients' needs and assist them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations. Qualifications: Education:
Must possess a degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Licensure:
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or be license eligible. Skills:
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic skills, and proficiency in developing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a patient-centered focus. Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and assist patients as necessary, stand for extended periods, and perform various physical tasks related to therapy.
