Scope of Work
The Respiratory Therapy Apprentice works under the direction of a licensed Respiratory Therapist. The Respiratory Therapy Apprentice is responsible for maintaining an appropriate level of equipment in the various respiratory work areas and assisting the Respiratory Therapists with various procedures and tasks, as directed. The Respiratory Therapy Apprentice may be responsible for performing multiple duties that require an expertise in the assembly, transport, disinfection, calibration and troubleshooting of respiratory related equipment.

Qualifications
Required Must be actively enrolled in CoARC accredited RT program
Required High School Diploma or equivalent
Healthcare Preferred
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days preferred
If you are 18 or older and have graduated High School or completed your GED, you may apply for this position

If still interested in this Program, the Recruiter will move you forward in the process so that you may complete a Shadow with a Respiratory Therapist
If you receive an RT Apprentice Offer, you may then seek Enrollment into RT Program at an accredited college, such as Muskegon Community College or Kalamazoo Community College, or other college
Pre-Requisites to acceptance into the RT Program could also be covered
This could mean the beginning of a new and exciting career in Respiratory Therapy while making a difference in the life of patients and families!
