Full-Time Academic Physician - Biochemical Genetics

SLUCare Physician Group, a member of SSM Health, is excited to announce a position for a Clinical Biochemical Geneticist in the Division of Medical Genetics within the Department of Pediatrics. We seek an enthusiastic candidate for an anticipated appointment as an Assistant/Associate Professor, with rank and salary based on qualifications and experience.
Ideal candidates will have ABMG active candidate status or certification as a Biochemical Geneticist. You will be integral to our metabolic team, which includes physicians, a genetic counselor, a dedicated nurse, and a clinical dietician. Our services span inpatient and outpatient care at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, as well as outreach clinics directed by Stephen R. Braddock, MD. Additionally, you will provide prenatal genetic services alongside the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division.
Faculty members actively engage in clinical and molecular genetics research projects, with on-site comprehensive diagnostic laboratories available in cytogenetics, molecular genetics, and biochemical genetics. There are excellent teaching opportunities in both didactic and clinical settings at medical and postgraduate levels. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a passion for academic excellence in clinical genetics.
