A Day in the Life

As an

LPN or RN, Staff Nurse

at

Home of the Innocents , you will provide top-tier medical care to children and young adults with diverse needs in a supportive, trauma-informed environment. You will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans, while maintaining a nurturing, safe, and therapeutic atmosphere for our residents.

Nights: 7 PM - 7 AM

Full Time and Part Time Schedules Available: 24, 30, 36 hours per week

* Weekend shifts/rotation required

How This Position Contributes to Our Mission

Deliver compassionate nursing care to children with complex medical needs, ensuring their health, safety, and comfort. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement care plans tailored to each child's unique needs. Provide tracheostomy and ventilator care, with training available for those new to this area. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Foster a nurturing, trauma-informed environment that prioritizes the emotional and physical well-being of residents. Educate residents and their families on managing medical conditions to promote better long-term health outcomes. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. LPN or RN, Staff Nurse Skills and Qualifications

Current LPN or RN license in the State of Kentucky. CPR/BLS certification. Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or long-term care preferred but not required. Experience with or open to learning vents, trachs, and medically complex care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for working with children and families.
