Adjunct for Hunt School of Nursing, Pre-Licensure Clinical

Gardner-Webb University invites applications for adjunct faculty to serve as pre-licensure clinical instructors in the Hunt School of Nursing.
Responsibilities include teaching and managing assigned clinical course based on individual course requirements. Clinical courses include fundamentals, medical-surgical, OB/Peds, senior practicum, and community health. Clinical courses are held at facilities surrounding the Gardner-Webb campus, including, but not limited to: Atrium Health - Cleveland, CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg Regional Health System, Rutherford Regional Medical Center, and various locations for community experiences.
Responsibilities will include teaching clinical in the ASN, BSN, and ABSN undergraduate programs, with opportunities to teach during the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters as desired.
Required Credentials:
Bachelor's degree in nursing (will need additional education for adult learners within 3 years). Preferred Credentials:
Master's degree in nursing with education concentration preferred. Master's degree in nursing with other concentrations accepted (will need additional education for adult learners within 3 years). Preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation is preferred. Applicants without this preparation may complete the required coursework within 3 years from time of employment.
Qualification Requirements:
Possesses a current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, a compact state or be eligible for licensure in North Carolina Has a minimum of two years employment in direct client care as a Registered Nurse Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Availability to teach clinical during weekday, evenings, and/or weekends.
