Become the Dietitian You Aspire to Be
Communicate and counsel patients according to physician orders and dietary instructions.
Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare disciplines involved in patient care.
Evaluate referrals to ensure nutritional intake methods meet patients' needs.
Document essential information in patient medical records following established standards.
Implement and adjust nutritional care plans, menus, and manage special dietary requirements.
Conduct calorie counts and provide appropriate recommendations based on findings.
Review, revise, and approve menus for nutritional adequacy.
Qualifications for Your Success
Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
State licensure is required.
Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is preferred.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Food & Nutrition from an accredited institution.
One year of experience in Clinical Dietetics is preferred.
