We are actively recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
to join our therapy team in California, MD. This is a full-time opportunity ideal for professionals who excel at working with children, adults, and families, communicate effectively, and are passionate about helping clients develop the communication and feeding skills they need for everyday life.
The role involves evaluating and treating individuals from birth through adulthood in a clinic setting, creating engaging and individualized treatment plans, and partnering with families and caregivers to support progress at home and in the community.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, participate in ongoing professional development, and make a lasting difference in the lives of clients and their families across Waldorf, Maryland. What you'll do
Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for children and adults with speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing challenges.
Deliver speech therapy services as outlined in treatment plans, documenting all sessions, progress notes, and reports in a timely manner.
Educate and coach families/caregivers on strategies and activities to support communication development and carryover at home.
Utilize a variety of evidence-based techniques, including articulation therapy, language intervention, social communication support, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), cognitive-communication therapy, and feeding/swallowing interventions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in goal setting, progress reviews, and discharge planning.
Maintain therapy materials/equipment, ensure compliance with HIPAA, and stay current with best practices through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Current Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility).
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or CFY candidates welcome to apply.
CPR/BLS certification (infant/child/adult) or ability to obtain.
Clear criminal background check.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team, adapt to change, and manage priorities.
Passion for working with children and adults to support communication and developmental growth.
