Job Title
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients' activities of daily living and plan of care. Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient's family or significant other(s). Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics. Kelemen 8 is a medical-surgical unit that cares for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, illnesses and disease processes. North and South 8 have telemetry capabilities for our patients. Kelemen 8 has frequent admissions and discharges. Kelemen 8 can accept a total of 77 patients. The North side houses 37 patients, and the South side houses 36 patients. There are two negative pressure rooms with an anti-room. There is a pharmacist present on the unit to assist the RNs with medication questions/concerns. Multidisciplinary rounds occur every Monday through Friday. Rounds involve all aspects of the healthcare team, including the patient and family. 1 year or more patient care experience in a similar role preferred. Completed at least one fundamental nursing course in an accredited RN Program Successful completion of an unlicensed health care provider/ technician program High school diploma/GED AHA Basic Life Support certification. Must successfully complete EKG and Phlebotomy training during orientation. USD $17.50 - USD $27.00
