About The Position
This is an imagingposition and NOT an RN. It requires an active xray license and must haveexperience in either interventional radiology or cath lab. Location Details o Facility: Memorial Hospital of Carbondale o Dept. Name: Interventional Radiology o Cost Center Number: 10367 ] Position Details o Quantity Needed: 1 o Type of Resource Requested (ex: RN, Physician Assistant, etc.): Interventional Radiology Technologist OR Xray tech WITHINTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY EXPERIENCE o Position Title (Specialty): Interventional RadiologyTechnologist o Length of contract (ex: 13weeks): 13 weeks will be an ongoing need o On-call (Y/N): Y If yes, what are the on-call requirements? Up to 10 days permonth when fully staffed. That won thappen for a long time so it ll be 2 days per week for now o Hours PerShift(ex: 8, 10, or 12): Open to 8 s or 10 s o Shift Start Time: varies between 7-9 depending on day ofweek and if they choose 8 or 10 hours Department Specific Details (ex. nurse/patient ratio, float or weekendrequirements, charting, equipment, special qualifications, or certs.): Rightnow there are no weekend requirements. We are looking to add either Saturday or Sunday call soon. We use EPIC to document and are in theprocess of installing a brand new Siemens IR suite on 6/3. This position requires an active Illinoislicense from IEMA and a board certified xray technologist through ARRT. An interventional radiology certification isnot necessary. The candidate must haveInterventional Radiology or cath lab experience. We could easily train someone who has cathlab experience. Maintains appropriate IV and Contrast Competency Follows established protocols and procedures for proper patient position, exposure control, and radiation protection. Performs office duties as needed. Communicates clearly and effectively with all involved in the patient care process. Cleans and inspects departmental equipment Cleans and stocks Imaging rooms.
