officially opened as of October 2022! Previously Markham Animal Clinic, we outgrew our old facility and are very fortunate to have moved into a new, spacious, and beautiful hospital. We are an AAHA accredited practice and our team promotes modern medicine while also offering a great patient and client experience.
Our new facility offers 6 exam rooms, dedicated surgery and dental suites, state of the art equipment, separate cat and dog areas (Fear Free of course!), and many other enhancements which will make it feel like home.
Position Purpose
Come extern with us!
Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.
Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
Requirements/Qualifications
Eligibility
Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
Must be able to provide student PLIT
