Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon

for a

locum tenens call coverage opportunity

in

North Dakota

starting

September 2025 . This role is ideal for physicians looking for a flexible schedule with predictable call volume and excellent support. Opportunity Highlights:

Schedule:

10 days per month of 24-hour call coverage (flexible scheduling)

Start Date:

September 2025 Ongoing

Trauma Level:

IV

Call Response Time:

20 minutes

Daily Patient Volume:

0 5 General Surgery patients per 24 hours

Credentialing:

30 days; temp privileges available

Payor Enrollment:

Required

Duties Include:

Phone consults, admissions, rounding (General Surgery only)

Emergent surgery coverage 24/7 (elective surgeries scheduled Mon Fri)

No clinic or APP supervision required

Anesthesia coverage by CRNA group

Required Procedures:

Abdominal Surgery

Endoscopy

Gallbladders, Appendectomy, Colon, Laparoscopy

Stomach, Liver, Spleen

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

Pediatrics, Vascular, Thyroid, Pulmonary

Candidate Requirements:

Board Certified

or

Board Eligible (within 3 years of US residency)

Active ND license

or

IMLC (in-process OK)

ACLS and ND DEA

required

Clean malpractice history preferred
