KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Responsibilities Operates imaging equipment across multiple platforms within CT and Diagnostic Imaging. Demonstrates proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy. Supports radiology students through hands-on learning, constructive feedback, and mentoring during their clinical rotation. Reviews medical records and imaging orders to confirm patient history and relevant clinical information. Prepares, monitors, and positions patients according to imaging protocols, explains procedures, and ensures patient comfort during exam. Maintains an organized patient schedule, accommodates add-on patients as needed, communicates schedule changes promptly, and aides in the scheduling of Radiology exams for outpatients. Exercises sound judgment in image quality assessment and is confident in their ability to communicate with the radiologist to determine if additional imaging may be necessary. Adheres to ALARA principles to minimize patient radiation exposure. Follows all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensures cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms, equipment, and supplies. Utilizes the Radiology Information System (RIS) as required. Maintains an understanding of the radiology PACS and EMR systems Leadership/Administrative Responsibilities Stays current in the field by participating in continuing education, reading professional publications, and engaging in professional organizations. Enhances the reputation of the hospital and radiology department by embracing new opportunities and contributing to departmental goals. Supports Director of Diagnostic Imaging and the Radiology Supervisor in maintaining compliance with all professional standards, hospital policies, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Assists in performing administrative duties at the discretion of the Radiology Supervisor to include but not limited to; preceptor training, yearly staff competencies, attending meetings, and assisting in staff interviews. Facilitates daily organization within the Radiology department by updating staff assignments, assigning lunches, and assists the Radiology Supervisor with staff needs. Assists Radiology Supervisor by providing feedback for staff evaluations.

Minimum pay: $32.18
Maximum pay: $49.88
