Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients of every age group utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational techniques. Create tailored treatment strategies targeting both immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver individualized speech-language interventions concentrating on aspects such as communication, fluency, language, and swallowing. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and family members to craft cohesive treatment plans. Provide educational resources for patients and families to promote progress between sessions. Engage in occasional evaluations and treatment interventions in inpatient settings, maintaining a seamless approach through the entire care process. Document patient progress timely and accurately in line with all applicable regulations and guidelines. Engage in continuous professional development to keep pace with the latest advancements in the field. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is expected within 30 days of hire. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based methodologies applicable across the lifespan with a deep comprehension of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing issues. Exceptional communication skills suited for interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Flexibility in adapting therapy techniques to cater to varying cultural and linguistic contexts. Strong clinical reasoning and analytical skills.
