Position Summary
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and/ or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) administers anesthesia and anesthesia-related care under the direction of an attending anesthesiologist in the operating room and satellite areas.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions of the CRNA/ CAA
Determines, prepares, and ensures necessary medications, equipment, and adjunct therapies for the administration of anesthetics. Initiates a plan of anesthesia care (general, regional, monitored anesthesia care) under the supervision or direction of an attending anesthesiologist. Prepares and tests anesthesia equipment to ensure proper functioning. Inserts and/or uses invasive and non-invasive monitoring devices for continuous evaluation of the patient's status under anesthesia. Demonstrates proficiency in monitoring and management of airway; cardiovascular, pulmonary, and neuromuscular status; and emergence and recovery from an anesthetic. Supervises, instructs and evaluates student anesthetists. Qualifications
Licensure/Certification:
Graduate of accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Program
or Meets all educational requirements to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and a Florida-licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP). Maintains current certification in Healthcare Provider/BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Experience:
