FL-DOH-Chattahoochee-CNA - This facility operates 24/7. Candidate may be required to work 16 hr shift as needed
FL-DOH-Chattahoochee-CNA - Candidates will need to attend an full two week orientation, working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
WORK ENVIORNMENT: This is a State of Florida Psychiatric Hospital which operates 24/7, 7 days a week. It currently has 223 buildings on campus with a capacity of 1,042 patients. The hospital's current Administration Building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
TYPE OF PATIENTS: Two categories of patients are treated at the hospital; those civilly committed under Statute 394, who represent a small portion of the hospital's residents; and those forensically committed under Statute 916. The Civil portion of the hospital houses adult and elderly individuals who have been civilly committed to the hospital, and forensic residents who have been "stepped down" to the civil unit. The civil units are also known as Forensic Transition units. Forensic ward entry has security guards and a metal detector.
CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assistwith all aspects of resident care as assigned by the nurse/shift supervisor,including activities of daily living, ambulation, mobility, and nutrition. Observe,identify, and report resident concerns or needs to the shift supervisor. Documentinformation factually and objectively, within acceptable time frame as definedby facility policy. Providesafe and supportive observation and effectively monitor assigned residents. Completeassignments timely, completely, accurately and in a cooperative manner. Providethe necessary assistance when giving residents the following activities ofdaily living nursing care: oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming, hairand nail care, shaving, toileting, eating and drinking, and mobility. Assistwith monitoring and accountability of residents to enable medical personnel toaccomplish health related tasks. Displayprofessionalism throughout employment including, but not limited to, arrivingto work on time, maintaining an accurate timesheet, and maintainingprofessional appearance as defined by facility policy.
