Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Compounding Pharmacist to play a pivotal role in their 503B sterile compounding outsourcing facility. The position involves ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, particularly current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), with significant responsibilities in quality assurance, patient safety, and compliance with federal and state laws.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and perform aseptic compounding of sterile medications in compliance with USP , , and facility SOPs. Ensure accuracy, sterility, and quality of compounded preparations. Conduct release testing, validation, and documentation to ensure products meet all safety and efficacy standards. Lead investigations into deviations and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure facility and processes comply with FDA 503B requirements, state board of pharmacy rules, and DEA regulations. Develop, review, and update SOPs and batch records. Contribute to the development and validation of new compounded sterile products as needed. Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) from an accredited college. Active and unrestricted pharmacist licensure. Experience in sterile compounding under USP and knowledge of USP requirements. Familiarity with cGMP, FDA 503B outsourcing facility rules, and documentation practices. Skills
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Leadership capabilities and attention to detail.
