Position Summary The Occupational Therapist (OT) will be a key member of the therapeutic support team, providing specialized services to help students develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for academic success. The OT will work collaboratively with other therapists, educators, paraprofessionals, and families to support students' sensory, motor, and functional needs in both individual and group settings.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with students' IEP goals. Provide direct therapy services focused on fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and emotional regulation. Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines. Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans. Submit all required documentation for reimbursement of eligible students through the designed school-approved reimbursement platform. Obtain and maintain approval as a Medicaid provider If not currently approved, collaborate with our team to complete the necessary steps to obtain Medicaid provider credentials. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions. Educate staff and families on strategies to support students' functional independence. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to school-based therapy services. Work in coordination with other ESE service providers in planning and developing the exceptional student education program to ensure consistency with the total educational philosophy of Pepin Academies

Qualifications Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current Florida OT license and NBCOT certification. Experience working with children and adolescents with learning disabilities preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs.

Pay Range:

$50,451 - $62,649 per year
