Quality Technician (Grade 6) - A Shift (6:00 AM to at Chobani LLC in Twin Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Summary The Quality Control Technician's role is to perform laboratory/quality functions by testing, collecting data, and analyzing findings on raw materials and finished goods. Follow FDA, USDA, and GMP policies. Carry out special projects as needed. Safely perform all tasks to ensure achievement of Quality, Service, and Cost objectives. Follow all standard operating procedures and requirements under the Quality System. This role has a responsibility for ensuring both food safety and quality of Chobani product.Employee Perks & Benefits:$23.50/hour minimum with Quarterly Bonus incentivesExcellent Benefits with Immediate Paid Time OffPaid Volunteer OpportunitiesTuition and Wellness ReimbursementsPaid Parental LeaveEmployee Recognition ProgramsFree Yogurt Responsibilities Prepare in-process and finished product samplesPerform analytical testing using instrumental and wet chemistry procedureEnter and report data using established Laboratory ProceduresTroubleshoot and perform basic maintenance for lab instrumentationAnalyze incoming ingredients, blends, and finished product to meet specificationsPerform microbiological analysis on finished product, incoming ingredients, and environmental swabbingCollect samples for micro forced life and shelf-life samplesMonitor and inspect production lines to ensure that quality and package integrity are within specificationsComplete all documentation associated with quality checks and QC daily reportsAbility to research historical data when required and report findingsPlace raw materials and finished product on holdMonitor sorting of hold product as needed and all quality checks performed by productionSet up analytical equipment and perform required daily calibrationsPrepare standard solutions and reagents as requiredMaintain laboratory supply inventoryMaintain equipment and area cleanliness to ensure compliance with all GMP standardsAssist processing and production as requiredFollow Chobani's safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices Requirements Degree in a related science field such as chemistry or biology or a minimum of 2 years laboratory experience preferred or equivalent experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office products and familiarity with moderate computer skillsAbility to perform basic laboratory skills in a safe manner and use proper chemical handling proceduresFamiliarity with basic lab equipment and glasswareAbility to understand, record, and communicate technical data and work independently or in a groupAbility to detect color changes in chemical testingAbility to lift to 40 poundsWork 12-hour shifts or other work schedules as determined by business need, including weekends or extra time as requiredMust be certified on the training plan for this position within six months of start date About Us Chobani is a food maker with a mission of making high-quality and nutritious food accessible to more people, while elevating our communities and making the world a healthier place.
