We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our growing Connected Security team, supporting iconic brands like Master Lock and Yale. You'll lead the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management for one or more connected product lines within the Security business unit. As a strategic leader, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch innovative products that enhance safety and convenience for our customers. This role balances technical depth with business acumen and customer empathy. You'll help shape how we compete and grow in the smart home and connected products space. Position location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL. Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation. What you will be doing: Own the product portfolio strategy and 3-year roadmap for assigned Connected Product Group lines. Conduct ongoing market analysis, competitive reviews, and Voice of Customer (VOC) research to develop best-in-class solutions. Partner with hardware and software development teams to drive new product introductions through the full product lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful business tollgate reviews and product launch readiness. Translate customer needs into clear product requirements that deliver differentiated value and align with business goals. Support technical discussions with engineering and development teams. Lead pricing and margin strategies for assigned products to deliver P&L results. Define market segmentation priorities and collaborate with Sales and Channel Marketing on go-to-market plans. Manage ongoing product quality, lifecycle transitions, and end-of-life planning. Qualifications: 6+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Category Manager, or Product Owner managing product portfolios with both hardware and digital components Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, a related field, or equivalent experience required. Technical background and comfort collaborating with engineering teams Solid knowledge of industry trends and pain points to be able to create a high-value product vision and satisfy user demands. Strong analytical skills, including ability to arrive at insights from analytical data, is essential for market and competitive evaluation, pricing and line management. Demonstrated ability to be a team player with skills to lead/participate in cross-functional teams. Ability to travel approximately 15%, mainly to trade shows & customer locations Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the Smart Home or Connected Home industry. Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $107,000 - $145,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
