Health care facilities in California are licensed, regulated, inspected, and/or certified by various public and private agencies at the state and federal levels, including the CDPH Center for Health Care Quality (CHCQ) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). CHCQ ensures compliance with state laws and regulations and collaborates with CMS to meet federal requirements for facilities accepting Medicare and Medi-Cal payments. CHCQ also oversees the certification of nurse assistants, home health aides, hemodialysis technicians, and the licensing of nursing home administrators. The salary information listed may not reflect recent adjustments or fiscal year changes. *The CDPH is not currently an E-Verify employer.* Department Website: https://www.cdph.ca.gov In July 2025, California implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025, which temporarily reduces employees monthly base pay by 3% in exchange for paid leave credits through June 2027. The salary ranges listed do not include this reduction. This position supports the California Department of Public Healths mission by performing complex, technical, and quantitative research, analysis, and statistical work related to licensing, certification, and enforcement activities within the Intakes & Enforcement Analytics Section. Responsibilities include extracting, interpreting, summarizing, and documenting data from various sources; developing statistical measures and reports; and acting as a resource for performance measures, benchmarks, and data software tools such as SAS, Excel, PowerBi, Azure, Tableau, Toad Data Point, and Microsoft SQL Server tools. While many tasks will be performed independently, collaboration with research staff, auditors, healthcare facility personnel, contractors, and other department staff is essential.
