Job Summary:
The Ambassador will be the first person to greet passengers on Seastreak's event cruises and will act as the passenger's point of contact throughout the trip. The ambassador is expected to provide exemplary customer service and enhance the onboard experience for all passengers.
Responsibilities include: Greeting passengers as they board Answering questions from passengers regarding the cruise, upcoming cruises, the schedule for the day, directions to different areas of the vessel, rules and regulations, onboard logistics, etc. Entertaining passengers - Depending on the cruise, the ambassador may be asked to facilitate games and activities for the passengers. For example, helping a child work on a whale watching tail matching game, or assisting in the "dance party" on a Santa Brunch Cruise. Engaging with passengers - This includes conversing with guests regarding their experience onboard and collecting information regarding the customer experience and ways in which we can improve the trips. Taking photos to document the customer experience. These photos will be shared with the Seastreak marketing team to promote the cruises on social media. Regularly check facilities and alert crew members if vessel requires maintenance/attention The Seastreak Ambassador is a part-time job with primarily weekend hours. The person in this position will attend all Seastreak event cruises, including Whale Watching, Sunset Cruises, Fall Foliage Cruises up the Hudson River, Santa Brunch Cruises, Seal and Bird Ecology Cruises, the NYE Cruise, and the 4th of July Cruise.
Requirements:
Experience in Customer Service Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) or already possess one. Certain criminal records may exclude you from this. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in hospitality and/or experience as a tour guide Routes may include:
Whale Watching, Sunset Cruises, Fall Foliage Cruises up the Hudson River, Santa Brunch Cruises, Seal and Bird Ecology Cruises, the NYE Cruise, and the 4th of July Cruise, and other special event cruises.
