Synectics Inc. Job Title : Senior Tax and Accounting Associate
Location : Beaverton, OR
Responsibilities
The Senior Tax and Accounting Associate will prepare and help review a variety of tax returns, including individual, partnerships, S corporation, C corporations and trust tax returns. Research tax issues and legislation and exercise professional judgment with respect to issue identification to develop solutions to tax issues in returns. Prepare and review income tax returns for S corporations, partnerships, C Corporations, trusts and individuals Perform tax research and prepare written memoranda Communicate with partners and clients relating to questions or information requests needed to complete assigned projects Handle challenging technical projects Identify client service and engagement efficiency opportunities The position will include help with accounting, compilation and review of financial statements. Previous experience in compilation and review of financial statements is not required
Qualifications
CPA firm experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA examination eligible) CPA or working towards CPA licensure Solid understanding of basic tax and accounting issues Strong analytical aptitude Strong interpersonal and communication skills Clear verbal and written communication is required Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a public accounting, deadline driven environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Desirable experience in ProSystems Tax, CCH Engagement but not required The ideal candidate will have between two and five years of tax experience including previous tax compliance experience and the desire to research tax and accounting issues.
