Journeyman Systems Analyst
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Journeyman Systems Analyst with an active Secret clearance. This position will be located in El Paso, TX or Sterling, VA and will be a fully onsite position. The role involves coordinating with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls. The candidate will provide technical/functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, developing, and supporting systems, having the business knowledge and perspective of a particular business and the IT needs of that customer. Requires knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes, and work flows. May also be functional experts in financial, program control or logistical areas. Responsibilities include: Analyzing business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems. Interfacing between systems architects/programmers and users located in a specialized area to ensure that information technology designs meet the needs of the end users. Documenting product/service requirements and developing test procedures to ensure user requests are carried out. Interacting with testing requirements to ensure traceability and test coverage. Requiring general-logic knowledge of system capabilities without necessarily the ability to program. Qualifications include: High School with 6-9 years of systems analyst (or commensurate experience). Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain/hold DEA suitability.
